Thorbjørn Risager & The Black Tornados

Thorbjørn Risager & The Black Tornados return to Kædekassen on September 26, 2025. Their last show here sold out completely, so tickets should be purchased well in advance.

The band has just released the single "Inner Light" - a funk-tinged earworm that blends Sly and the Family Stone's style with Risager's smoky vocals. Their ninth studio album "House of Sticks" draws on contemporary blues in the vein of The Black Keys and My Baby, while staying true to the band's own blues roots.

The eight musicians have toured over twenty countries in the past two decades - from Scandinavia and Denmark to Switzerland, France, Croatia, Spain and the UK, and further to the USA, Canada and India. They have played everything from jazz bars to major festival stages.

"We're constantly growing," says Risager. "That's one of the reasons it's still fun - it keeps moving in the right direction."
