Thorbjørn Risager is a Danish blues and soul singer-guitarist, best known as the frontman of Thorbjørn Risager & The Black Tornado, an eight-piece band he formed in 2003. Starting out in the blues bars of Copenhagen, the group has since toured more than 20 countries and collected four Danish Music Awards, the European Blues Awards' Best Band title, and Germany's Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik. Nine studio albums and a 2026 live record place Risager among the most prolific and decorated voices in European blues.
The live album Live at Hotel Cecil - recorded at a sold-out concert in Copenhagen on November 29, 2025 - was released on June 19, 2026 via Provogue/Artone.
