Alex Nyborg Madsen and his ensemble perform on Friday, 18 September 2026 at 20:00 in the concert hall at Viruphuset in Hjortshøj, north of Aarhus. The concert is one of five Danish dates on the tour, where the musicians present americana, roots folk and alt-country with acoustic string instruments. Viruphuset is located in the village of Hjortshøj and houses a large hall, fitness centre and café. Tickets cost 200 kroner.

About the venue: Viruphuset

Viruphuset is a community culture and sports centre in the village of Hjortshøj, just north of Aarhus. Spread across 2,500 square metres on two floors, it holds a large hall with gymnastics and trampoline facilities, a fitness centre, a dedicated concert hall, and Café V. The building was funded and is run by local volunteers in partnership with Aarhus Municipality, and as a grant-supported music venue it puts on 10-20 concerts a year in collaboration with Voxhall.

Born in Frederiksværk, Alex Nyborg Madsen has led bands across genres since the 1980s - from the heavy metal of Witch Cross to the acoustic americana of A Circle Of Friends. A long-time radio personality on DR's P3, P4 and P5, he also co-founded the independent station Radio Mars in 2024.
