Children and Grandparents on a Nature Walk

We start by greeting each other. Then you'll hear a little story about the forest's old friends. Can trees talk to each other and help one another?

Next, we play nature bingo. Everyone gets a bingo card with pictures of natural things on it. We find the items on the card and see who can fill their whole card. Children and grandparents help each other.

Then we look at the insects and bugs in the area. Grandparents and children help each other find bugs and insects and put them in a jam jar so we can all see what we've found together.

Finally, we have a little competition to see which of the creatures we found is the fastest.

Feel free to bring a thermos of coffee for the break and some juice for the children.
