Book Club: 'The Adult Child' by Olga Ravn

The book club at Herfølge Library is for everyone who enjoys reading and discussing books together. Librarian Flora Juul Ørskov hosts and guides the conversation about the book.

This time the focus is on 'Voksbarnet' by Olga Ravn. The unmarried Christenze Kruckow is accused of witchcraft and flees from South Funen to Aalborg - called "the city of hatred" by the book's narrator, a magical wax doll. In Aalborg, Christenze is taken into a close community of women, but this does not protect her from rumours of her devilish arts. Meanwhile, Christian IV has decided that the country's witches must be exterminated. The novel is based on real events from 17th-century North Jutland.

Participants can pick up the book from 7 September during staffed opening hours.
