Adam Price: Creating a Modern Fairy Tale

Adam Price wrote the script for the new Danish musical OLIVIA - and the Shadow Dancers' Secret, which draws on Køge's historical witch trials. Four days after the premiere, he discusses the work behind the production: what challenges arose during the process, and what sets musical scriptwriting apart from writing TV series or books.

The story follows Olivia, a high school student who moves to Køge - a modern adventure about many young people's fear of not measuring up and not fitting in. Price is known as the screenwriter behind series such as Borgen, Anna Pihl, Orkestret and Ragnarok, and as host and chef in the food programme Spise med Price.

The musical premiered on 18 September at Østre Gasværk, with music by Rasmus Seebach, Ankerstjerne and Andreas Sommer.

The event takes place in the Fakta department on the ground floor of Køge Library, and there will be an opportunity to ask questions.
