Introduction to 3D Printing — Køge Bibliotek, Køge
Free entry

Come behind the scenes of 3D printing: how does it work, and what can you make with it? We prepare a model for printing and follow the process from file on your computer to finished object. Everyone tries the technology through hands-on exercises and learns how to change filament, plus gains insight into materials, temperatures, and how the machine works. No prior experience needed.

With 3D printing you can make almost anything - personal jewellery, spare parts, toys, gadgets, home décor, and functional prototypes. Pinterest is a good place for inspiration: search for "190 ideas for 3D printing and 3D print ideas in 2026 | 3D print, printer, home deco" and much more.

If you want to model yourself, Tinkercad is a free tool where you create a profile and get started right away.

The event takes place in Folkelab, the workshop area at Køge Library, where young people and adults can work with 3D printers, embroidery machines, vinyl cutters and more, and exchange ideas and knowledge about everything from technology to traditional crafts.
