Moon Yoga — Køge Bibliotek, Køge

Moon Yoga combines storytelling with yoga techniques to create balance in mind and body. On the night of the full moon, the exercises are directed toward the sky and the enchanted universe in rhythm with the changing seasons.

Cultural mediator Flora Juul Ørskov reads aloud from inspiring texts, while Living Yolates instructor Mathilde Aya Hemmingsen guides participants through yoga exercises and gentle mobility training. The event is for adults, and everyone can participate - come in clothes you can move in.

Moon Yoga takes place in the Study Area at Køge Library and is part of Witch Days in October, a series of events exploring the many meanings of the witch: as primal force, persecuted figure, wisdom keeper, nature expert, and symbol of resistance.

Witch Days draws on the witch trial Køge Huskors, which took place in Køge 400 years ago and was one of the country's most extensive - with around fifteen women as victims. The events are organized by Køge Libraries, Teaterbygningen, and Køge Archives in collaboration with Køge Museum, Youth Culture House Tappen, Køge Art Association, and other cultural actors in Køge Municipality.
