Juuls 100th Anniversary Tasting #9 - The Jewel of Speyside & Elixir Distillers

Juuls' 100th anniversary tasting #9 focuses on Elixir Distillers and the newly opened Tormore Distillery, featuring the Danish premiere of three new releases from Tormore. Doors open at 18:10, and the tasting is conducted in English.

The evening is hosted by Douglas Cook, Senior Brand Ambassador for Elixir Distillers, with over a decade of experience in the Scottish whisky industry - both with whisky producers and as owner of a whisky travel company in Edinburgh. He holds the title of Keeper of the Quaich. Cook will share the stories behind Tormore Distillery and Elixir Distillers.

Tormore Distillery on Speyside - built in 1959 and designed by Alexander Cullen and Sir Albert Richardson in art deco style - was purchased in 2022 by brothers Sukhinder and Rajbir Singh from Pernod Ricard. The brothers are known in the whisky world for founding The Whisky Exchange in the 1990s, as well as Speciality Drinks (2003), WhiskyAuction.com, and the independent bottler Elixir Distillers. Juuls has collaborated with them for nearly 30 years. Since taking over, the brothers have spent four years optimizing the distillery and assembling a new team. They are also building their own distillery on Islay: Portintruan.

Elixir Distillers bottles whisky and rum in several series: Port Askaig (Islay whisky only), Single Malt of Scotland, Elements of Islay, Macbeth Series, and The Whisky Trail. The evening features 9 whiskies, including 3 single-cask bottlings exclusive to Juuls' 100th anniversary. All bottles can be purchased at special prices - only this evening.
