Involuntary School Absence Is Not Anyone's Fault

Elinna Lenora Stokka delivers a lecture on involuntary school absence from multiple perspectives: as a social anthropologist, psychotherapist, artist, and mother of two young people with school absence. Rather than looking for fault in the child or the adults around them, she asks what the absence actually signals. She draws on professional knowledge, personal experience, and stories from an artistic workshop for young people with school absence in Viborg.

The lecture is part of the "Children's Wellbeing" series at Herning Libraries, which focuses on topics such as sleep, screen time, and poor wellbeing. The series is aimed at parents, grandparents, and other adults in children's lives.
