Introduction to Nature Conservation at Gjerrild Nordstrand

Are you interested in volunteering for nature conservation but lack experience with methods and tools? On a heathland area at Gjerrild Nordstrand, you can learn by working side by side with experienced volunteers.

Today's focus is harvesting of coarse grasses: cutting to 5 cm above ground level with a brush cutter, raking and hauling to a trailer. Two experienced volunteers will bring the necessary equipment and safety gear.

The event is a collaboration between DN Norddjurs and volunteers in a partnership agreement with the Danish Nature Agency Kronjylland. Remember sturdy footwear, gloves and something to drink.
