She becomes prioress at Stubber Convent and becomes entangled in events leading up to the murder of Erik Klipping. In Priorinden, the regicide plunges the country into bloody civil war - and Kirstine holds crucial information. In the series' third and final volume, Borgfruen, she flees convent life and settles in Vendsyssel amid civil war and power struggles.
