On September 8, Holstebro Library celebrates the UN's International Literacy Day. Everyone is welcome to come and read - or listen to an audiobook - in the library's spaces.

The library presents a selection of short novels and story collections that can be read or listened to in about an hour, and offers coffee and light refreshments. You can also bring your own book or audiobook, or explore the library's shelves.

The event is free - just show up.

About the venue: Holstebro Bibliotek

Holstebro Bibliotek is the main public library for Holstebro municipality, first opened in 1903 as "Holstebro og Omegns Folkebogsamling". The building covers 6,450 square metres across three floors and adjoins Holstebro Town Hall, with a distinctive exterior of rounded arches and towers. Between the library and the town hall lies Bibliotekssalen, a hall with a stage and tiered seating. Branch libraries are located in Ulfborg and Vinderup.
