Author Concert with Anne Skov Thomsen and Ensemble MidtVest

Author Concert with Anne Skov Thomsen: Wednesday 13 January 2027, 18:30–20:00, Holstebro Bibliotek, Holstebro. Tickets cost 75 kr.

Author Anne Skov Thomsen comes to Holstebro Library to present her debut novel "Præstens" (The Priest). The book tells the story of growing up in a rectory and finding one's place in the community.

Anne Skov Thomsen grew up in a parsonage in the 1990s, which she portrays with warmth and sensuality. In the novel, we follow a young girl through formative years. She has moved with her parents, both priests, to a small town in Vendsyssel, where everyday life revolves around faith and family.

The book is full of music. At the concert, musicians from Ensemble MidtVest perform alongside Anne Skov Thomsen as she unfolds the story, so text and music merge into a unified whole.

About the author: Anne Skov Thomsen holds a degree in Nordic languages and literature. She works as a translator and freelance editor and is a literary critic for Kristelig Dagblad.
