RÆSON: Peace in Our Time? Conversation with Peace Researcher Isabel Bramsen — Hovedbiblioteket, Copenhagen
Free entry

Isabel Bramsen is head of peace and conflict studies at Lund University and belongs to a rare category in Denmark: peace researchers. She investigates how peace negotiations are created and when they break down - a field that feels more pressing than ever with the war in Ukraine and the competition between major powers.

This afternoon the questions are: What creates the foundation for successful peace negotiations? Why has it gone wrong repeatedly - between the USA and Iran, and between Ukraine and Russia? And can peace actually be negotiated, or is military power indispensable in the current world order?

The conversation is moderated by Mathies Duch Gronemann, and there is plenty of time for questions and debate with the audience. The event is part of the Main Library's conversation series in collaboration with the magazines RÆSON and ÆRA.

Free entry with ticket - seats cannot be reserved, and the view to the stage is limited from certain seats. The event takes place on Store Scene, LIVE, 4th floor, Copenhagen Main Library. From Centralsalen (entrance from Krystalgade) you can reach the 4th floor via elevator, stairs or escalator to the 3rd floor and from there one flight up. RÆSON and ÆRA have special offers for the audience in connection with the event.
