KALEIDOSCOPE - or the Art of Constellating Collective Creativity

Eva presents her final thesis from the Jung Institute, exploring collective creativity as a tool for understanding and strengthening healthy communities, organizations, and democracies. Creativity is central to solving complex problems, yet it faces pressure in modern organizations driven toward productivity and streamlining-conditions that work against what creativity requires.

Drawing on analytical psychology (Jung, Gordon, Fordham), psychodynamic perspectives (Winnicott, Stern), and physicist David Bohm's view of creativity, Eva understands creativity as closely linked to individuation and meaning-and to the capacity to hold uncertainty, difference, and paradox, both individually and in groups. In this view, creativity is a vital force connecting inner and outer worlds, conscious intention and unconscious emergence, symbolization, play, and problem-solving.

A particular focus lies on the group's role: when a group can remain in unresolved tension rather than rushing to closure, dynamic moments emerge that can reorganize relationships and open new thinking and action. Eva argues that the creative group thus becomes a unique space for each participant's individuation-and that creative collectives are therefore crucial.

Based on her experience designing and leading organizational development and group processes, Eva has gathered her understanding in the Kaleidoscope model, organized around three mutually interacting axes: Eros-Logos, Inner-Outer, and Yin-Yang. Together, these axes capture the potential in imperfect, tension-filled interactions where collective creativity can arise.
