Finn Nørbygaard: My Ups and Downs - and What I Learned from It

Finn Nørbygaard has experienced both ends of the spectrum - success and rock bottom - and in this memoir lecture he speaks openly about both.

The story begins with adopted Finn's childhood in Esbjerg and continues through teacher training to his meeting with Jacob Haugaard in the creative environment of Aarhus in the 1980s. From there came performances at major cultural venues across the country, his own TV sketch show, appearances in the iconic "Squash" commercials, and feature films with combined ticket sales exceeding 850,000. Then it turned: five-star reviews gave way to harsh press criticism, his showbiz career stalled, and the money - invested in IT Factory - vanished completely.

Today Finn views life crises such as existential anxiety, professional collapse, and financial ruin as invitations to drop the facade and meet himself with honesty. There is naturally also room for funny anecdotes and quirky stories in Finn Nørbygaard's characteristically understated style.
