Lecture: Shakespeare for All Times and All People

This lecture takes place at Bjerringbro Bibliotek as part of Folkeuniversiteternes Dag (Folk University Day), celebrated nationwide in week 37. The topic is William Shakespeare (1564-1616) - the English poet, playwright, and actor whose works have shaped literature since the 1600s.

The speaker is Niels Brunse, a Danish Shakespeare expert, author, and translator. He will discuss his decades of work with Shakespeare's dramas, including his new translation of all 37 plays. Brunse has translated around 250 works over nearly 60 years and has written books and articles on Shakespeare as well as given lectures about him both in Denmark and abroad.
