Bent Melchior Prize 2026

The Bent Melchior Prize 2026 takes place on 10 November from 19:00 to 22:00 in Festsalen at the University of Copenhagen. This year's theme is "Worldviews" - examining the relationship between faith and science, the event explores what conceptions of humanity follow from the worldviews we orient ourselves by, and how we can build bridges across them.

The prize honours individuals who with persistence and patience seek dialogue with those who think differently. The recipient receives a sculpture created by artist Jens Galschiøt - a travelling trophy passed on to the next recipient - plus 10,000 kr. in cash.
