On 26 November 2026, Aarhus Litteraturcenter hosts a symposium on political poetry at Teater Katapult on Godsbanen in Aarhus. The event explores what poetry can actually do - whether it shifts something in the world or speaks to deaf ears. Many Danish poets today use line breaks and metaphors to write about bodies, climate, parenthood, social inequality and more. The symposium investigates why and how.

Author Louise Juhl Dalsgaard moderates the day. The speakers are Dan Ringgaard (professor of Nordic Language and Literature, Aarhus University), Anne Green Munk, Luka Holmegaard and Ursula Andkjær Olsen. The day concludes with a panel discussion with questions from the audience.
