It Is Mine
Islands Brygge Bibliotek, Copenhagen
A puppet show for the youngest children, performed by puppeteer Astrid Kjær Jensen. The performance explores greed and ownership - and how owning everything can lead to isolation, while sharing can open the door to friendship. A small creature collects everything, from tiny objects to big dreams, and ends up alone on top of its mountain of things. Only when it decides to share does it perhaps find a true friend.
Cast: Performer Astrid Kjær Jensen, music Camilla Bang, puppet maker Signe Kjær, director consultant Claus Mandøe, set designer Camilla Lüders Weile.
The performance is part of the Teatermagi festival during the autumn break (week 42), which brings performing arts to cultural centres, libraries and theatres in Østerbro, Vesterbro, Amager, Nørrebro, Vanløse, Valby, Indre By, Brønshøj-Husum, Sydhavnen and Bispebjerg. The festival is supported by the Augustinus Foundation and Copenhagen's Performing Arts Committee.
