Life Forms: Bacteria lecture: Thursday 12 November 2026, 19:00–20:00, Islands Brygge Bibliotek, Copenhagen. Tickets cost 80 kr.

Drawing on her research, Fatima AlZahra'a Alatraktchi reveals how even the smallest organisms struggle with cooperation, communication, survival, and conflict - just as humans do. Her personal story is woven into the narrative of bacteria's hidden life. Fatima AlZahra'a Alatraktchi is a lecturer in translational biomedicine at Roskilde University and author of the book Obsessed with Bacteria (2026).

The event is part of the KIB the Change series, where each edition focuses on one life form - moss, algae, fungi, microbes, or other - and explores its world and role with an expert.
