Wild About Science: I Watch Birds: Thursday 5 November 2026, 17:00–19:00, Blågårdens Bibliotek, Copenhagen. Admission is free.

Naturalist and biologist Morten D. D. Hansen shares his passion for birds and offers practical tips for birdwatching in the city and in nature. In spring, he published the book "I Watch Birds", a guide to making the most of Denmark's birdwatching year. At Blågårdens Library, he discusses his fascination with these winged creatures and invites you to discover them yourself.

This event is part of Copenhagen Libraries' festival "Wild About Science", running through October-November at libraries across Copenhagen municipality. The festival features expert lectures and talks for adults on a wide range of topics.

About the venue: Blågårdens Bibliotek

Blågårdens Bibliotek sits on Blågårds Plads in the Indre Nørrebro neighbourhood and is part of the Blågården cultural complex, which also includes the cultural centre Støberiet and Korsgadehallen. The ground floor holds adult book exhibitions and a small stage area used for concerts, talks, film screenings and readings. The children's library on the first floor runs activities for nurseries, school classes and families, with free cultural events most weekends. The collection has a particular strength in comics, poetry and music.
