Night sky and the speed of light - lecture: Tuesday 13 October 2026, 19:00–20:00, Hvidovre Hovedbibliotek, Hvidovre. Admission is free.

Karsten Brogaard is a lecturer at Aarhus University specializing in combining observations from asteroseismology, spectroscopy, eclipsing binary stars, and star clusters to determine precise stellar parameters, including their age.

The lecture focuses on FUT and Brogaard offers tips for observing the night sky from home. He also explains how FUT can be used to replicate Ole Rømer's measurement of the speed of light.

The event is organized by HVIDOVRE KUNST.

Hvidovre Hovedbibliotek is the main public library of Hvidovre Municipality, situated on Hvidovrevej close to the town hall.
