Lecture with Morten Hector Dalhoff

Morten Hector Dalhoff on the universe: Tuesday 27 October 2026, 19:00–20:00, Hvidovre Hovedbibliotek, Hvidovre. Admission is free.

Morten Hector Dalhoff takes us on a journey through the universe, exploring phenomena such as supernovae and other galactic events - all with scientific explanations along the way.

Morten holds a master's degree in astrophysics from the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen (2015), specializing in magnetic hydrodynamics. His thesis involved advanced computer simulations of the sun, where he modeled active regions and solar flares with the aim of predicting them.

On YouTube, he started the channel "Down to Earth Astronomy" in 2015, which combined space themes with video games and grew to over 100,000 followers. In 2024, he changed direction and created "Cosmic Curiosity", which focuses on space science and astrophotography. Here he combines his professional background as an astrophysicist with tutorials and practical guides for photographing the night sky. "Down to Earth Astronomy" is no longer active.
