Jette Torp brings live music, personal stories and readings to Helsinge Library on Wednesday, 16 September 2026 at 19:00. The library on Skolegade hosts cultural events alongside its collections, and the audience is invited to ask questions during the performance. This concert is one of seven Danish dates on Jette Torp's tour, where she performs songs of personal significance and reads from writers including Anne Linnet, Ida Jessen and Carl Nielsen. Admission is 35 kroner.

About the venue: Helsinge Bibliotek

Helsinge Bibliotek is an integrated school and public library housed in Helsinge Kulturhus on Skolegade. It opened in 2013 as a purpose-built facility and is part of Gribskov Biblioteker. Alongside books and digital resources, it has a Makerspace with equipment such as a laser cutter, and regularly hosts reading clubs, author evenings and art exhibitions. Volunteer IT ambassadors are on hand to help visitors with digital questions.

About: Jette Torp

Rooted in a conservatory education and a breakthrough alongside Finn Nørbygaard in the 1990s, Jette Torp has since released a string of solo albums and toured Denmark extensively. These days she favours smaller venues - churches, village halls and cultural centres - where songs and personal stories from her long career take centre stage.
