The Story of an Egg (ages 4-8) / Teatermagi Amager

The Story of an Egg - children's theatre: Friday 16 October 2026, 10:30–11:15, Kvarterhuset, Copenhagen. Tickets cost 40 kr.

This performance takes children (ages 4-8) down into the grass, where tiny creatures crawl and creep. What does it feel like to be an egg? What does a larva experience, and what is it like to get wings? The story sings and sways into a world where small animals transform - but who is really inside the egg?

Performers: Alex Opazo and Dorte Abrahamsen. Script and direction: Jacob Stage. Music and instruments: Alex Opazo. Instruments and scenography: Ruud Dekker. Concept, script, music, puppets and scenography: Dorte Abrahamsen.

The performance is part of the Teatermagi festival during the autumn break (week 42), which brings performing arts to cultural centres, libraries and theatres in Østerbro, Vesterbro, Amager, Nørrebro, Vanløse, Valby, Indre By, Brønshøj-Husum, Sydhavnen and Bispebjerg. The festival is supported by the Augustinus Foundation and Copenhagen's Performing Arts Committee. The full festival programme can be found at https://brugbyen.kk.dk/det-sker/teatermagi
