About the venue: VEGA

VEGA is one of Denmark's largest music venues, housed in a listed 1956 building on Vesterbro designed by architect Vilhelm Lauritzen, who also designed the Radiohuset. Originally called Folkets Hus, it reopened as a music centre in 1996 as part of Copenhagen's year as European Capital of Culture. The complex holds Store Vega (up to 1,500 standing), Lille Vega (up to 500 standing) and Ideal Bar, with around 350 concerts a year spanning rock, pop, hip-hop, jazz and electronic music.

About: King Woman

Led by Kristina Esfandiari, King Woman deliver a brand of doom metal that draws on shoegaze and post-rock - heavy, atmospheric music where religious imagery and personal trauma collide. Two albums on Relapse Records have made them one of the most talked-about acts in today's heavy underground.
