Halfdan's ABC with Teater AstaBasta

Halfdan's ABC - children's theatre show: Sunday 1 November 2026, 10:30–11:10, Valby Bibliotek, Copenhagen. Admission is free.

Teater AstaBasta puts the alphabet at the centre with a performance based on Halfdan Rasmussen's ABC. The show features singing, puppet play, and storytelling inspired by his beloved children's rhymes about the letters of the alphabet - a work that has achieved cult status, and many children already know a rhyme or two from it.

Narrator, puppeteer, and singer is Karina Nielsen, while Jesper Andersson provides the music on all instruments.

The performance is for children from 4 years old and lasts approximately 40 minutes. No registration is necessary - just show up at Valby Bibliotek.
