Forbidden Books - Reading and Quiz

In connection with Danish PEN's campaign #ForbiddenBooks, Blågårdens Library hosts a public reading for adults.

The librarian reads from older books that have been banned or confiscated - from indecent vampire literature to poems deemed subversive. Along the way there is a quiz about forbidden literature with a forbidden prize, and refreshments are served.

The event is free and requires no registration. The campaign #ForbiddenBooks runs October 5-11, 2026 and highlights freedom of expression and the right to read without censorship.
