Communal Dinner at Udsigten

Communal Dinner at Udsigten - free: Wednesday 14 October 2026, 17:30–19:00, Hovedbiblioteket, Aarhus. Admission is free.

A free communal dinner prepared by chef and gastronomic consultant Mikkel Hevring de Vries from Jesper Torvekøkken, who has curated the menu himself. All dishes are made from pantry staples and can be prepared in a pot, on a Trangia stove, or over a campfire - if you're skeptical about 'prepper food', this is your chance to be convinced.

The menu features Nordic ingredients with deep flavors, acidity, and sweetness.

Dinner is free, but you must book a ticket for each participant by October 5 at 12:00.

The event is part of the library's themed day 'Together on Preparedness', held in collaboration with DR, Dansk Folkeoplysnings Samråd, and Østifterne. Throughout the day, the library hosts lectures, activities, and conversations about preparedness. Some activities require a free ticket - check the program at aakb.dk and on Facebook.
