A String Of Pearls - Danish Big Band Jazz in 100 Years

The big band Unoderne celebrates 100 years of jazz in Denmark with the concert series "A String Of Pearls - Danish Big Band Jazz in 100 Years", held in collaboration with Jazz Danmark.

The programme is built around ten jazz melodies - one number from each decade - that together trace the development of big band jazz in Denmark from its beginning to today. For each number, Henrik Schultz-Petersen shares a jazz story from that decade. Schultz-Petersen is a jazz specialist, former radio host on Radio 1, and long-time board member of the Jazz Society in Aarhus.

Before the concert, you can sign up for a shared dinner at 17:30 via Skafferiet.dk. Tickets are sold at advance price until one hour before the start; an order fee of 10 kr. is added regardless of the number of tickets, and the fee is not refunded in case of cancellation. Young people under 22 can buy a discounted ticket (bring ID), and companion tickets are available (bring companion card). See all ticket types under 'buy ticket'.
