Pottery Wheel Throwing Course — Håndværkeriet, Haderslev

Learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing with ceramicist Christina Friis. The course covers hand positions and techniques for the three phases of throwing: centering, opening, and shaping.

The course runs over four Tuesday evenings (August 25, September 1, 8, and 15) from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. The ticket covers all four sessions and costs 1,250 kr., including clay. Glazing and firing are not included and are paid separately if desired.

It is recommended that you have completed an introductory ceramics course before enrolling. Bring an apron and keep your nails short. Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded.

About the venue: Håndværkeriet

Håndværkeriet is the creative workshop space within Kulturhuset Bispen in Haderslev. Visitors can work with ceramics on a pottery wheel and kiln, sew fabric or leather in the sewing room, or shape cold glass in the glass workshop. Trained staff are on hand throughout opening hours to offer guidance. A day ticket covers access, and the ceramics area requires a short introductory course first.
