Japanese Literature with Mette Holm

Translator and Japan specialist Mette Holm presents an overview of Haruki Murakami's literary work and the recurring themes in his novels, discussing the challenges of translating from Japanese to Danish.

The second part of the event focuses on five female authors translated by Mette Holm herself: Sayaka Murata, Hiromi Kawakami, Yu Miri, Erika Kobayashi, and Asako Yuzuki. Yuzuki's novel "Butter" will be published in May 2026.
