Sauna Ritual & Yin Yoga session: Sunday 22 November 2026, 13:30–16:45, Rört, Copenhagen. Tickets cost 395–450 kr.

An afternoon combining sauna ritual with meditative yin yoga, focusing on body awareness, stillness and community.

In the sauna, you work with breathing, silence and the transformative power of fire and water, directing attention to nature's elements. Songs are sung throughout, and you move through 4 rounds in the sauna with breaks outside for cold dips, water and healthy snacks.

Afterwards, the session continues with yin yoga, where the warm muscles from the sauna form the foundation for a calm, meditative movement practice. The focus is on nourishing the body's space, finding peace and setting new intentions. Sauna ritual and yin yoga can help create grounding and transform tension into relaxation - it is open to all, regardless of experience.

13:30-15:00: Sauna ritual
15:00-15:45: Shower/changing/own food
15:45-16:45: Yin yoga

REGISTRATION

CAPACITY
Max. 18 people (adults only).

BRING
Water bottle, 2 towels (one will get wet and is used as a seat in the sauna), swimwear (optional), yoga mat and blanket, warm and relaxed clothing for yin yoga, and packed lunch/snacks.

TIPS
Drink plenty of water throughout the day before the sauna ritual, preferably with electrolytes, and do not arrive on an empty stomach. If you have never tried sauna ritual before, you are welcome to mention it before starting. Questions can be sent to hello@balanced.dk.

INSTRUCTOR
Anne Mette Buch Bertelsen held her first sauna ritual in 2014 and has been hosting retreats in Sweden and Denmark since 2015. More information at www.balanced.dk.
