Lecture - Klara Trebbien Rasmussen
Østerbro Bibliotek, Copenhagen · 75 kr. · ≈ 10 €
Klara Trebbien Rasmussen on animal welfare: Tuesday 17 November 2026, 19:00–21:00, Østerbro Bibliotek, Copenhagen. Tickets cost 75 kr.
What happens behind closed stable doors before the meat ends up on our plates?
Journalist Klara Trebbien Rasmussen worked undercover for a month in a conventional Danish pig farm without anyone knowing her true purpose. She experienced a daily routine where speed takes priority over care, and what initially feels wrong quickly becomes routine when repeated day after day.
At the lecture, she shares her experiences from the book "Flæsk" - a raw account from inside about the ethical dilemmas and animal welfare at stake when thousands of pigs move toward the dinner table each day.
The event at Østerbro Library is one of two evenings in a lecture series on agriculture and animal welfare, based on "Flæsk" by Klara Trebbien Rasmussen and the forthcoming book "Hele svineriet" by Inger Anneberg. Information about the lecture with Inger Anneberg is available elsewhere.
Tickets cost 75 kr. per evening, or 100 kr. for a combined package for both lectures.
