Drawing with Scratch and Python

Drawing with Scratch and Python - kids workshop: Saturday 24 October 2026, 10:00–14:00, Scratch på dansk, Greve. Tickets cost 350 kr.

This workshop is for children who already have some programming experience and are ready to move from visual blocks to text-based code. We start in Scratch with visual blocks, where children quickly see the connection between code and action and can experiment freely without struggling with syntax errors. Then we move on to Python, where the same code is written as text. By comparing the two languages - for example how a loop or movement looks in Scratch versus Python - children gain a deeper understanding of syntax.

The workshop is for children from age 10 with some programming experience, or by arrangement. Bring a laptop. Scratch is available in several versions, both for download and online, while for Python we use an online version that requires a free account. Information about the account will be sent about a week before the workshop.

Bring your own packed lunch and drinks - we take a lunch break halfway through. Parents are welcome to participate or wait in the adjacent room.
