Seeing and Combining Colours

This workshop uses objects or photographs you bring along as a starting point for exploring colours, yarn qualities, and knitting techniques.

Through a hands-on method, you'll work on creating new colour and surface combinations. You'll investigate which yarns best capture the expression in your inspiration material, and experiment with colour quantities and the interplay between different materials - finally testing your ideas in practice with knitting techniques. The workshop doesn't require you to be an experienced knitter, but you should be comfortable with knit and purl stitches.

Bring five things you find interesting from home or nature, yarn scraps in varying thickness and colours (ideally to share), knitting needles in different sizes, a tapestry needle, and scissors.
