Søndagsskolen # 10 ~ Mooncakes with Baijie Curdt-Christiansen
Alle Tiders, Copenhagen · 200 kr. · ≈ 27 €
Mooncakes workshop with Baijie Curdt-Christiansen: Sunday 1 November 2026, 14:00–16:30, Alle Tiders, Copenhagen. Tickets cost 200 kr.
On Sunday, November 1st, you can join a beginner-friendly workshop in making snowskin mooncakes to celebrate the Chinese autumn festival. Around the long table at Alle Tiders, Baijie Curdt-Christiansen shares the history and cultural significance of mooncakes, and the different styles and flavours found across China's regions.
The focus is on snowskin mooncakes - a modern variant - and the innovative versions that have made an impression on a market full of baked goods. Participants learn the special technique for folding the dough, assemble their own filling, and finally press the cake into a mooncake mould. No prior experience is needed - only curiosity. Each participant takes home 3 snowskin mooncakes.
Baijie is a Chinese-Danish baker and pastry chef. She is inspired by her mixed upbringing and background, which she explores in the kitchen at Goose Deli. After learning the baker's craft in Copenhagen, she began to miss Asian flavours and has since sought back to her roots through food. Her place in Nordvest, Goose, is a Chinese deli, bakery and shop that opened in 2025.
Søndagsskolen is a recurring, informal school at Alle Tiders. Each month, an artist, farmer, chef, communicator or craftsperson is invited to share knowledge about the world around us. Søndagsskolen is created and curated in collaboration with visual artist Mia Carl. Everyone is welcome.
