Literature Festival 2026

Literature Festival 2026 at Struer Library dedicates the entire day to literature with a programme featuring Danish authors.

• 9:00 - The festival opens with a speech and morning song. Ulla Fredenslund, who has followed the festival over the years, reads from her own poems.
• 9:25 - Hans Peter Madsen reviews the season's publications.
• 11:00 - This year's debut author Nanna Holm presents her novel "Red Gate" - a story about collective living and its significance for children who grew up in such an experiment.
• 13:00 - The musical-literary contribution comes from Munk, Bille & Ask, consisting of author Johanne Bille, songwriter Esben Munk and guitarist Simon Ask - a synthesis of text and sound.
• 14:15 - Anne-Marie Vedsø Olesen presents "The Völva's Way", a novel about völva power and narrative power.
• 15:45 - Jesper Wung-Sung presents "Sandø's Rose" - a twin novel to Martin A. Hansen's classic "The Liar", where Johannes Vig is replaced by Annemari, who sees events from a female perspective.
