Danmarks Radios Medarbejder Bigband (DRAM) Plays Jazz. Sunday Matinée

DRAM Plays Jazz - Sunday Matinée: Sunday 10 January 2027, 15:00–17:00, Kulturstedet Lindegaarden, Kgs. Lyngby.

DRAM Big Band is a fully staffed orchestra that plays a varied repertoire, often with newer arrangements. Several of the musicians play or have played professionally, which provides a swinging rhythm section and solo contributions from all brass sections.

The orchestra was formed in 1970 on the initiative of DR employees and Erik Moseholm, former leader of the DR Big Band. It started as an internal orchestra for DR staff, but gradually had to be supplemented with external musicians when internal interest was insufficient. Today DRAM Big Band is led by Mogens Andresen, professor emeritus at the Royal Danish Academy of Music.
