Description was written before the event

Author Camilla Kaj reads from her book 'Manifestet', written for children aged 10-12. The story follows best friends Nora and Nour, whose friendship is tested when their football coach behaves in a sexist manner and crosses boundaries. While Nora stays silent, Nour takes action and creates a manifesto on social media. The book explores friendship, diversity, and feminism.

The event runs from 10:30 to 14:00. Between 11:30 and 13:30, Camilla Kaj reads from the book and discusses it with the children. She brings her illustrations, which the children can colour in. The cost is 75 kr. per person, including materials, coffee, and water. Children under 5 enter free.

Camilla Kaj is a cultural sociologist and author who has worked with children and cultural encounters for around 11 years. She created the Nour and Nora book series for children aged 5-12. Based on these books, she develops activities where children explore identity, cultural similarities, discrimination, community, and the right to belong through storytelling, conversation, and creative exercises.
