Arild Quartet has been among Denmark's most prominent chamber music ensembles for nearly twenty years. The quartet is known for interpretations marked by maturity and intensity, and has performed at chamber music festivals at home and abroad, touring in Brazil, Scotland, Germany, Finland, the Czech Republic, Greece, and Sweden.

Beethoven holds a special place in the ensemble's repertoire. For their 10-year anniversary in 2018, Arild Quartet performed his complete collection of string quartets in a series of 18 concerts.

This evening's programme moves from Debussy's refined sound world and Webern's intense, late-Romantic lyricism to Beethoven's C major quartet, op. 59 no. 3, which demands both virtuosity and ensemble cohesion:
