Lecture: Jes Stein Pedersen & Men in Literature

On International Men's Day, literary editor Jes Stein Pedersen explores men's literature and asks what books can tell us about masculine identity, self-recognition in others' lives, and the shifts happening in our time.

The lecture spans a broad range of authors: from Ernest Hemingway, Kjeld Westö and Karl Ove Knausgård to Geir Gulliksen, Jens Chr. Grøndahl, Jan Sonnergaard, Henrik List, Klaus Lynggård and Theis Ørntoft - and further to Felix Thorsen Katzenelson, Sally Rooney, Rachel Cusk and Annie Ernaux. Both classic and contemporary voices.

After the lecture there will be time for questions and discussion. Wine, coffee and tea are available for purchase.

Jes Stein Pedersen is a literary editor at Politiken, host of the podcast Bogfolk (since 2015) and board member of Copenhagen's Folkeuniversitet.
