Lecture with Film Director and Author Martin Schmidt

Holte Library presents Martin Schmidt - author and award-winning director behind the TV series 'Rejseholdet' and 'Ørnen' - as part of the 'Local Storytellers' concept.

A two-hour lecture where Schmidt explores the creation of 'Rejseholdet': how to shape audience emotions and why it is so difficult to hear what is said in Danish film and television. Film clips are shown throughout, and he shares stories from meetings with Meryl Streep, Glenn Close and Jeremy Irons - plus the explanation for why a career as a stand-in for Antonio Banderas never happened. He also reveals the background behind what is perhaps the most talked-about episode of 'Rejseholdet'.

Schmidt is currently active with the crime series 'Lygtemanden', the novel 'Urfugle' and the book 'Livet er en gave' about and with Ole Henriksen. After the lecture, there is an opportunity to buy books.
