About the venue: Koncertkapellet

Koncertkapellet opened in May 2024 in the renovated Sankt Jørgensbjerg Kapel in Roskilde. The venue is dedicated to classical and acoustic music, with the hall designed around unamplified sound so audiences can hear performers up close. It is run by Foreningen Koncertkapellet, a non-profit founded in 2016 that holds a 30-year lease from Sankt Jørgensbjerg Kirke. The programme ranges from chamber music and choral concerts to folk music and experimental stage works.

About: Kaya Brüel

With Sanne Brüel of Jomfru Ane Band as her mother, Kaya Brüel carries a rare musical lineage - one she has built on through her own career of more than ten albums, Reumert nominations and roles across Danish music theatre since 1991. Here she brings the band's songs back acoustically, woven together with personal memories from the recording sessions.
