Building Resilience to Foreign Information Manipulation: Lessons from Moldova and the Eastern Partnership · Copenhagen
Description was written before the event

How can democracies protect themselves against disinformation, foreign interference, and information manipulation? This open event at Ukraine House in Denmark features WatchDog.MD, a think tank from Chișinău working to strengthen democratic resilience and counter foreign information manipulation and interference.

Drawing on experiences from Moldova and the Eastern Partnership, the event explores how foreign information manipulation works, how it affects public opinion and democratic processes, and how to identify and counter it. WatchDog.MD brings extensive experience in media and social media monitoring, opinion polling, elections and media policy, information campaigns, and advocacy. The organization will present its work and share practical insights from the region.

Following the presentation, there will be a discussion on the challenges of information manipulation and how governments, civil society, media, and citizens can contribute to more resilient democracies.
