Illustrator Meeting: Kristian Eskild Jensen

Kristian Eskild Jensen meets students at the library: Thursday 14 January 2027, 10:00–11:00, Greve Bibliotek, Greve.

Greve Library invites 6th and 7th graders to meet illustrator Kristian Eskild Jensen, who is nominated for an Orlanopris award. He is a finalist in the "fantastic drawings" category for his illustrations of a reimagined version of Bjarne Reuter's classic thriller about class 7.A. The text is written by Erik Barfoed. The story follows 7.A. from Lilleskolen as they go on a school trip to an old colonial-era house and never return home.

Kristian will talk about his work on 7.A., life as an illustrator, and the relationship between text and image. He has also created the graphic novel version of Bjarne Reuter's novel "The Boys from Sant Petri" and illustrated many other children's books, most recently a work about the Nordic gods created with Kenneth Bøgh. For Kenneth Bøgh's small masterpiece "The Last Magic Trick," he is also nominated for an Orlanopris for his drawings.

Target audience: 6th and 7th graders.

Time and place: January 14, 2027 at 10:00 at Greve Library, Portalen 2.

The presentation lasts approximately 45 minutes, followed by a question-and-answer session. Classes can stay to eat packed lunches and borrow books. The library has many copies of 7.A., so each class can borrow one book and read it together.

There is room for a maximum of 6 classes, and places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is with Sonny Hansen at Son@grevebib.dk or via AULA.
