1000 Years of Conspiracy Theories

Conspiracy theories are no longer confined to the fringes - they are shared across society and reach the highest levels of politics. During his presidency, Donald Trump made claims about everything from election fraud and vaccines to a hidden global elite allegedly pulling the strings behind the scenes.
The picture is the same here at home: many Danes embrace one theory or another, and even more are uncertain about what and whom they can trust. What makes these narratives so convincing - and what does their spread mean for democracy?
Journalist and historian Ole Retsbo has just published the book "1000 Years of Conspiracy Theories" and through his work has met several of the most well-known conspiracy theorists. He comes to Greve Library to share his experiences with the subject.
