Throw Pottery in the Morning - 10-Week Course with Marianne Krumbach

A beginner's pottery wheel course for those who have never thrown before or need more practice with basic wheel-throwing techniques. The course covers centering, pulling up to a cylinder, throwing simple forms, and progresses to trimming, attaching handles, and glazing. You'll also get an introduction to different types of stoneware clay suitable for wheel-throwing and relevant tools. Each session ends with thorough cleaning.

The instructor is Marianne Krumbach, trained at the Design School in Kolding. She works daily from her studio in Copenhagen NV and has spent recent years primarily creating modeled, nature-inspired sculptural objects - but also periodically working on thrown projects. The course fee covers instruction and materials. Participants are expected to help with cleanup and maintenance of the ceramic studios at Vesterbro Library and Cultural Centre alongside other users.
